As the capital city, a modern metropolis and an ancient centre of culture and trade, London has a lot to offer. In the book Sacred Britain by Martin Symington, which has been an invaluable guide on our tour around Britain, it is interesting that the places of Pilgrimage that he talks about in London are not the great churches but secular sites.
