Current COVID-19 Protocols

We no longer require masks to be worn at church services except for communion administrants during communion.

This change in policy will be greeted with great joy by some but not all. Please be mindful that this may cause worry and upset for some and be patient with one another. This is not an occasion for celebration but for compassion.

It is important to remember that  COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses are still circulating in the community. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to continue wearing a mask, particularly at the 10am service where there is no longer space for physical distancing. Remember that preventing infections involves multiple layers of protection and, by removing your mask, you are not only removing a layer of protection for yourself but also for everyone else.

This also means it is very important that we maintain other layers of protection:

  • If you are not feeling well, please stay home (and give thanks for the gift of the livestream on YouTube!).
  • If you have recently been ill or in contact with someone who is ill, please wear a mask.
  • If you are eligible for a vaccine or booster, please get one.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to Rhonda or one of the wardens.
