Our journey this week will take us through Ireland – it’s going to be a long walk! Fortunately, Ireland is full of saints to keep us company.
As you walk this week, think about the people who have been important companions on your journey through life. Whose lessons continue to guide you? Whose examples continues to inspire you? Whose friendship continues to sustain you?
Give thanks for these companions and offer prayers on their behalf.
This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
God of faithful surprises, throughout the ages you have made known your love and power in unexpected ways and places: May we daily perceive the joy and wonder of your abiding presence and offer our lives to you in gratitude. Amen.
Psalm 67
O God, be merciful to us and bless us,
show us the light of your countenance and come to us.
Let your ways be known upon earth, your saving health among all nations.
Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.
Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you judge the peoples with equity and guide all the nations upon earth.
Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.
The earth has brought forth its increase; may you, O God our God, bless us.
May you bless us, and may all the ends of the earth stand in awe of you.

Creating God, you looked at everything you made and called it good.
Give me eyes to see the world as you see it – with delight and love and compassion.
offers your thanksgivings and intercessions.
I pray in the name of Jesus, with the words he gave us:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
now and forever. Amen.
