I lift up my eyes to the hills, from where is my help to come?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

As we walk the paths of Wales, let us notice every tree and blade of grass, rejoicing in seeing those places from times past, and those places that are new, and looking towards what God is going to show us next.

Be a light for our path, Lord Jesus.

This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

God of faithful surprises, throughout the ages you have made known your love and power in unexpected ways and places: May we daily perceive the joy and wonder of your abiding presence and offer our lives to you in gratitude.  Amen.

Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the hills;
from where is my help to come?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
The Lord will not let your foot be moved
and the One who watches over you will not fall asleep.
Behold, the One who keeps watch over Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord, the Lord, watches over you;
the Lord is your shade at your side,
so that the sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil
and shall keep you safe.
The Lord shall watch over your going out and your coming in,
from this time forth for evermore.

Creating God, you looked at everything you made and called it good.
Give me eyes to see the world as you see it – with delight and love and compassion.

offers your thanksgivings and intercessions.

I pray in the name of Jesus, with the words he gave us:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
now and forever. Amen.
