“And I saw the New Jerusalem, coming down from heaven from God…And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘See, the home of God is among morals.’”  (Rev. 21:3)

While walking in London, notice the people and the spaces, including the churches, parks, museums and shops along the way. Notice all the sights and sounds, and listen for and feel the presence of God along the way.

Oh God, be a light for our path and a guide for our feet on this journey.

This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

God of faithful surprises, throughout the ages you have made known your love and power in unexpected ways and places: May we daily perceive the joy and wonder of your abiding presence and offer our lives to you in gratitude.  Amen.

Psalm 119-105-112

Your word is a lantern to my feet and a light upon my path.
I have sworn and am determined to keep your righteous judgements.
I am deeply troubled; preserve my life, O Lord, according to your word.
Accept, O Lord, the willing tribute of my lips, and teach me your judgements.
My life is always in my hand, yet I do not forget your law.
The wicked have set a trap for me, but I have not strayed from your commandments.
Your decrees are my inheritance for ever; truly, they are the joy of my heart.
I have applied my heart to fulfil your statutes for ever and to the end.

Creating God, you looked at everything you made and called it good.
Give me eyes to see the world as you see it – with delight and love and compassion.

offers your thanksgivings and intercessions.

I pray in the name of Jesus, with the words he gave us:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
now and forever. Amen.
